Stefan F. Heidenreich, chairman of the management board and chief executive officer at Beiersdorf AG (pictured), says he believes that “In the coming years, regionalization will be the key priority.” He has also taken on additional responsibilities to ensure the company’s goals.

With this in mind, Beiersdorf has appointed three top managers to its Executive Board effective July 1, 2014: Thomas Ingelfinger, Stefan De Loecker, and Zhengrong Liu. The future Executive Board thus consists of six members.

Reinhard Pöllath, chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: “Appointing these proven managers to the Executive Board supports continuity and internationalization throughout the company. We look forward to continuing our work together.”

Heidenreich noted: “The appointment of three top managers to the Executive Board sends an important signal both internally and externally. We are confident to further advance our successful Blue Agenda strategy with this team.”

Ingelfinger will be responsible for Europe (excluding Germany); De Loecker for Near East (including Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa and India); and Liu for Human Resources, including the position of labor director.

In addition to his role as CEO, Heidenreich will be responsible for Germany, North America, Far East (including Japan), and La Prairie. Dr. Ulrich Schmidt will remain responsible for Finance, Supply Chain, and Latin America, while Ralph Gusko will continue to head up Marketing, Research & Development, and Pharmacy.
